This weekend was unusually warm for the end of September. I could have sworn the first day of fall was the other day, though. Pumpkin spice is in full swing and the leaves are falling. Summer is officially gone.
It’s funny because when I was living in Mexico last year I couldn’t wait for a couple of cool winter nights to wear at least a sweater and boots (a rare occasion in Southern Mexico). And now, I’m finding myself wishing summer wouldn’t go away.
Since I haven’t had much time to devote to blogging, my monthly Best Of posts have fallen to the wayside. I decided, instead, to highlight the best of each season, so here you have it- the best recipes of the summer.
Here are a few reader favorites from the past couple of months. You all have great taste because these were some of my favorite recipes too!
Clockwise from top left: Chocolate Covered Granola Clusters, Turkey Bolognese Sauce, Vegetable Gratin, The Best Green Smoothie Bowl Ever
I made two additional recipes that didn’t get as much love as I would have thought. I am trying really hard not to make those Salted Caramel Cashew Bars again because I cannot be controlled around them.
Honey Roasted Peaches with Vanilla Greek Yogurt and Salted Caramel Cashew Bars (just a few ingredients in both recipes!)
A lot of my older recipes were getting attention this summer and these two were just a few of the highlights. Be sure to check out more great recipes by going to the Recipe Page in the menu bar (which I’m hoping to improve soon).
What were some of the best recipes you made this summer? I want to hear all about your grilling, canning, and whatever else you got up to this summer!

What a great idea for a post…. I might need to copy this! It’s funny what posts get so much love that you think are just okay, then the ones you think are really good just kind of stay flat right? Well I think the peaches and bars look amazing!

Definitely! I completely agree- the posts I think are gonna be big hits sometimes aren’t and vice versa.

All my favourite summer recipes involve either tomatoes or watermelon. Sad to say bye to summer recipes but looking forward to using fall produce!

Same- I love some winter squash!
