What is better than laying out the in the sun gettin’ your tan on in the summer? Doing it with a refreshing cucumber lime spa drink in your hand!
While I’ve been too busy to get my tan on lately, I’ve been trying to hydrate after runs and yoga. One of my go-to drinks from my favorite cafe in Oaxaca was a Cucumber Lime Frappuccino. Basically just cucumber, lime, and lots of ice. It was so refreshing and with zero guilt.
I think if you add even more ice then you could avoid the blended cucumber separating from the liquid, but I didn’t mind it. A little stir with my straw and I was right back to spa-like relaxation.
This drink takes about three minutes to whip up, is only 30 calories, and is a great way to stay hydrated during the summer.
I could see lots of additions that would make this drink even better:
Mint
Lemon
Basil
Strawberries
Watermelon
The list could go on… Think all things refreshing and summer, and you’ve got yourself the perfect pick-me-up.
- 1 large cucumber, skin on and roughly chopped
- 1 and 1/2 cups cold water
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/3 cup lime juice
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
