Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup California dried plums, packed
  • 1 and 3/4 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredient to a small saucepan and heat over low heat until it reaches a simmer.
  2. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, whisk mashing dried plums slightly, and simmer uncovered on low for about 30 minutes.
  3. When liquid has cooked off and sauce thickens, let sit until slightly cooled (about 10 minutes).
  4. Add to a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  5. Serve with cheese and crackers, meat, poultry, etc.
