Salted Dulce de Leche Rice Krispie Pops

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces marshmallows (about 8 large marshmallows)
  • 1 and ½ cup puffed rice cereal
  • 1 tablespoon dulce de leche
  • sprinkle sea salt
  • 2 1.5 oz dark chocolate bars

  1. Add butter to a medium sized pot on low heat. Once butter is melted, add marshmallows and stir continuously until they are melted.
  2. Turn off heat and add dulce de leche and a sprinkle of sea salt. Mix until combined.
  3. Add rice cereal and stir to evenly coat.
  4. Let mixture cool slightly and then use your hands to form into 7 balls.
  5. Stick skewers into the ball.
  6. Melt chocolate in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stir, and then heat in 15 second intervals until it is completely melted.
  7. Decorate the balls by drizzling chocolate or completely coating with chocolate. Add sprinkles or sea salt.
  8. Poke holes in a cardboard egg carton and place each pop in a hole so the chocolate doesn't get ruined. Place in the fridge to set for about 20 minutes.
