I’ve been wanting to share a post like this with you all for a long time, so here goes nothin’. If you follow 24 Carrot Life on Instagram, then you’ve probably already seen some of these pictures, but I also threw in a few extras I had on my phone.
A few weeks ago I was in Burlington, Vermont for my company’s annual conference. I met some really awesome people and ate so much cheese and ice cream that I was stuffed to the brim by the end of the week. I had never been to Burlington before and Lake Champlain was so beautiful! I took more than a few pictures of it during the day and at sunset. I focused on food a lot that week (all the time, really) and I came across an entire wall of hot sauces in a Burlington grocery store.
I got my first pair of glasses ever and I’m kind of in love with them. I hadn’t had my eyes checked since I stopped going to the pediatrician and I started to suspect I needed glasses. Lo and behold…it’s amazing what glasses can do!
I’ve been doing lots of projects since I moved into my new apartment in June. My Pinterest inspiration board is overflowing with pictures and I shared some of my favorites in this post. Right now I’m making a woven wall hanging for my bedroom using this tutorial and I love this blog for DIY inspiration and how-tos. Home Depot has become my second home and I got materials there to frame this beautiful paper I bought from Paper Source. The three panels are a stand-in for full-on wallpaper. Would you want to see an entire post about all the DIY projects I’ve done and what I’ve learned?
With my elimination diet, I’ve been eating as much grass fed and natural meat, chicken and fish as I can. That means bacon all the time!
I signed up for a winter CSA with Philly Foodworks and this was my second week. It’s so fun to be surprised with the share, which forces me to get creative with the veggies.
Last, but not least, who knew there was such a thing as an entire store dedicated to ugly Christmas sweaters. South Street in Philadelphia is full of quirky shops like this.
